🎨 Terms of Service for Art Commissions 🎨

Effective Date: 4/8/2025

By commissioning me, you agree to the following terms. Please read carefully before proceeding.
 

1. Services Offered

I offer the following types of commissions, which are guaranteed to not be created in any way by AI tools: 

Pet Portraits (Digital & Traditional)

Creature & Character Design (Digital only)

Digital Illustrations / Digital Paintings

Traditional Illustration (Graphite, Charcoal, Watercolor, Inks, Colored Pencil)
 

2. Payment & Process

Payment Methods: Venmo, Stripe, or CashApp. (PayPal will be available in the future)

Payment Schedule: A 50% non-refundable down payment is required upfront. The remaining 50% is due upon completion of the artwork.

Delivery Policy: No final artwork will be delivered until the full payment has been received. Until then, only a watermarked low-resolution preview will be shared. 
 

3. Revisions

One revision is allowed free of charge within 10 days of the artwork being completed. 

Additional revisions, or revisions requested after this period, may incur an extra fee.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you view and respond to my communication in a timely manner. 
 

4. Turnaround Time

Digital Pet Portraits: 1–5 days

Traditional Pet Portraits: 5–10 days (not counting shipping time) 

Digital Illustration: 3–5 days (up to 10 days for complex pieces)

Traditional Illustration: 5–10 days

Creature and Character Design: Up to 2 weeks (with check-ins throughout)

Timeframes may vary slightly depending on my current workload or unforeseen circumstances, but I’ll keep you updated!
 

5. Delivery

Please note that at this time, I only ship to addresses in the USA. 

Digital Files will be delivered via Dropbox, Google Drive, email, or any method you prefer.

Traditional Artworks will be shipped after final payment is confirmed. A tracking number will be provided. 
 

6. Shipping & Liability

For traditional artworks that are shipped physically:

I carefully package all artwork to ensure safe delivery.

A tracking number will be provided once the item has been shipped.

Once the artwork is in the possession of the shipping carrier, I am not responsible for loss, damage, or delays.

If a package is lost or arrives damaged:

I will assist in filing a claim with the carrier, if applicable.

Replacement or compensation is not guaranteed, especially for one-of-a-kind original works. However, I’ll do my best to help resolve the issue within reason. 

If you would like to purchase insurance, signature confirmation, or expedited shipping, please let me know during the ordering process so we can add that to your shipping cost. I highly recommend this due to the ever-present chance that the artwork could be lost or damaged in transit due to various circumstances that are outside of my control. Life is unpredictable, so it's best to take precautions!
 

7. Usage Rights

Personal Use Only unless a commercial license is purchased.

Commercial usage requires a separate contract and additional fee.

I retain full rights to all artwork unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

You may not claim the artwork as your own, resell it, or use it in the training of AI or machine learning models.

I reserve the right to post the work in my portfolio or social media unless otherwise requested.
 

8. Cancellations & Refunds

No refunds will be issued once work has begun.

If I am unable to complete your commission for any reason, I will refund your payment in full.
 

9. What I Will & Won't Draw

Original concepts and fantasy genre themes
 

❌ I Will Not Draw:

NSFW -- if it's something that would get you fired for looking at it on your work computer, I won't draw it.

Fetish or kink-related content (even if “tame”)

Excessive gore

Complex mecha/machines (I'm not particularly skilled in this area)

Disturbing themes (abuse, illegal imagery, etc.)

Characters with hyper-exaggerated proportions and/or excessive sexualization

Politically charged content that promotes hate

Anything I find personally uncomfortable

If a request falls outside of my boundaries, I will let you know promptly and respectfully decline.
 

10. Communication & Updates

I’ll keep in contact throughout the process, especially for character design commissions. You're welcome to check in for updates, and I’ll do my best to respond promptly.


11. AI Protection & Image Sharing

To help protect both my work and your commissioned piece from unauthorized AI training or data scraping:

If you plan to share your commissioned digital artwork online publicly (such as on social media, forums, or websites), I kindly request that you use the Glaze- or Nightshade-protected version of the file that I provide. 

These tools subtly modify the image data to deter AI models from learning from or copying the artwork, without affecting how it looks to the human eye.

This measure supports ethical use of digital art and aligns with my policy of not consenting to the use of my work for training AI models.

By sending payment, you are confirming that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
